RACI is adheres to a set of rules, and ethical and moral principles that constitute the base of its work. 

The organization’s founders have reached a consensus with the purpose to frame the work of RACI, as well as, the work of their member organizations.  These principles are shared by all the members of RACI, the Coordinating Group, the staff, the member organizations, the partners, and the volunteers of RACI.  It is the responsibility of all these actors to act in compliance with the established norms and principles, as well as to train new members so that they are incorporated into the network with these shared principles. 

General Principles

  • The Argentine Network for International Cooperation is an independent, apolitical, non governmental and a non-profit organization.
  • RACI’s institutional structure and actions will be guided by the principles of transparency, democracy, equity, solidarity, honesty, pluralism, tolerance, cooperation, collaboration, reciprocal trust and respect, in order to strengthen the bonds among the Civil Society Organizations.
  • All of the organizations that integrate the Coordinating Group have an equal voice and the same voting rights.
  • Each of theRACI’s member organizations are committed to complying with the norms, laws and active regulations, and guarding that they be respected inside their respective institutions. 
  • Diversity will be protected, in terms of topics, geographical distribution, target audience and internal institutional development of the RACI’s member organizations.
  • As a general principle, the RACI aims to mutual respect, fluid communication, and reason (through diplomatic means) as a mean to solve disputes among the members. In the case that it is not possible to solve a dispute using the aforementioned means, any member will be able to present the situation to be evaluated by the Coordinating Group.
  • The RACI is committed to being accountable for its activities and making public all the information about its actions.
  • All the individuals and organizations that participate in RACI activities (Coordinating Group, Executive Coordination, Honorary Council, Advisory Council and volunteers), assume the commitment of not disclosing confidential information concerning activities, information and planning of theRACI or any other of the member organizations that have no public information express character.
  • The RACI will work with its own initiatives and projects, assuring its constant reevaluation and always will seek the efficiency and effectiveness in the achievement of the network’s objectives.
  • The RACI will seek the complementariness of its objectives and actions with the objectives of public and private entities that also dedicate to international cooperation, looking forward to facilitate and complement the range of the initiatives developed by them, whenever they agree with the values and principles sustained by the RACI and expressed in this Code of Ethics.
